New Nvidia drivers no longer track users

Recently Nvidia has made available new graphics drivers that introduce, among others performance optimization for The Crew and State of Decay 2 games and support for the CUDA 9.2 package. However, this is not all news, because the manufacturer decided to withdraw from the function responsible for tracking users.

Exactly it is about the “Experience Improvement Program” option, which used telemetry to collect data about Nvidia accelerator users. The latest version of the drivers has been deprived of this feature.

Where does this change come from? One can suspect that this is the effect of entry into force general regulation on data protection (Source / GPRD).

If for some reason you do not use the latest Nvidia drivers (because you have an older Fermi graphics card or you use a 32-bit operating system), you can turn off telemetry services yourself – we wrote about it in this news .
