Imperator: Rome, or slightly different Europa Universalis
We are moving back to 302 BC and as an emperor we have a chance to change the fate of ancient Rome and the surrounding area. Paradox announces “The most detailed map” in its history (from Słupów Heraklesa to India) and the immersive game of managing the power.
In Imperator: Rome, you can decide on the type of government, establish alliances or fight for territory (during which the right tactic will be crucial), trade and invest in development. Of course, it will be no less important to maintain proper relations with subordinates.
Realism and great freedom are to be one of the key features of this game, which promises to be a combination of the best in Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron. Will it succeed, the PCs will be convinced for next year. For now, we must content ourselves with the trailer:
Age of Wonders: Planetfall is an ambitious spin-off
The second complete novelty announced by Paradox Interactive is Age of Wonders: Planetfall in sci-fi climates. In terms of the rules of the game it will be a typical turn-based strategy, but the Triumph Studios team has made sure there is some variety.
Above all, the storyline is intriguing. Well, we will get to know the story of the civilizations transferred to the future from the galactic middle ages, which will be an explosive mixture. A major challenge may be to find yourself in this new world, but it must be a plus.
The creators announce an extensive system of urban development, terrain exploration (with a story in the background) and exciting clashes, during which the player takes control of the units. The premiere on PC and consoles is planned for 2019. And this is a trailer:
