In a new video different benchmark values of the iPhone X are compared with those of the Samsung Galaxy S9 +. Take a few minutes and see how the two smartphone flagships beat each other.
Benchmarks: Apple iPhone X vs.. Samsung Galaxy S9 + [Video]
Already last year, Apple Insider has launched the iPhone X against the then flagship Galaxy Note 8. The iPhone X emerged as the clear winner. Meanwhile, the iPhone X is over four months on the market and this is now against the recently introduced Samsung Galaxy S9 +.
Both the Galaxy S9 and the S9 + have an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The Note 8 had the same CPU, but the clock frequency was lower at 8. However, the graphics unit on the S9 is about 30 percent higher. With the S9 + Samsung sets on 6GB Ram, with the S9 it is 4GB.
The iPhone X has a 6-core A11 Bionic chip and a 3-core GPU. In the Geekbench 4 test, the iPhone X dominated the S9 +, both in the single-core test (4,243 vs. 2,007 points) and the multi-core test (10,433 points vs. 8,307 points). In the graphics test, the S9 + was 14,808 points just behind the iPhone X with 15,177 points. In the Antutu benchmark, the S9 + was ahead of the iPhone X. In the Antutu HTML test, the iPhone X scored 37,461 points ahead of the S9ü with 33,924 points.
In the Basemark OS2 test, the S9 + was slightly ahead of the iPhone X. In the GFXBench OpenGL’s 1080p Manhattan Offscreen test, the iPhone X was minimal before the S9.
The iPhone X completely “blew” the S9 + in the Jetstream Browser Benchmak. The Octans 2.0 test was similar. Here it is 33.683 points vs. 11,682 points. This shows how well Safari beats on the iPhone X.
